| My Own Private Idaho "My Own Private Idaho" is a cine inspired photographic expose of New York Cities hottest young rising filmmakers. Concept
It was the amazing variety of locations that had led me to this city, from my first visit to New York back in the early 90's. I fell in love with the gritty urban landscape I had only before experienced in countless cinemas sitting transfixed to all those films telling tales of this extraordinary city. Locating to the city in 2003 living in the east village being exposed to film crews around every second corner- it hit me. hey here are groups of people doing what they love out on the streets everyday. It was now my time to get involved, by turning the spotlight 180 degrees in the direction of those behind the camera. Making those talented creatives the star of my show. Process
I asked each director to select a location which had an influence on them within the 5 boroughs of NYC. In the end bringing both together in one image. |
